Crack Injection & Leaks

How we decide whether a crack gets injected, with what, and what to expect.

Polyurethane expands and cures flexible, which suits cracks with active water. Epoxy cures rigid and bonds the crack faces, which suits structural cracks that are dry and stable. The condition of the crack decides which is used.

In many cases, yes. Polyurethane injection is designed to react in the presence of water and seal the pathway. Assessment confirms whether injection is the right approach for a given leak.

We look at where water shows, the crack pattern, the surrounding construction and moisture readings, then trace the likely pathway back to its source before deciding on a repair.

No. Some cracks are better addressed by surface repair, coatings or membranes, and some indicate a condition that needs a different approach. Injection is one tool, chosen when it fits.

Most residential injections are completed in a single visit. The material cures within hours; we ask that the area stay dry and undisturbed until we confirm the repair.

Usually only a small section at the crack line. We locate the crack with moisture readings before opening anything so the disturbance stays minimal.

Floors & Coatings

Choosing between systems, and what has to happen before any of them go on.

It depends on exposure, foot or vehicle traffic, moisture and the condition of the substrate. Polyurethane, polyaspartic and epoxy systems each have a place; we recommend based on those factors.

Both are seamless coating systems. Polyaspartic generally cures faster and offers strong UV stability; epoxy offers a well-established build and bond. They are often combined within one floor system.

Proper surface preparation — typically mechanical grinding — is what allows a coating to bond. Skipping it is the most common reason coatings fail early.

Only if it is well bonded, which we test on site. Peeling, chalking or unknown coatings are removed by grinding so the new system bonds to concrete, not to a failing layer.

Light foot traffic is typically possible within 24 hours. Vehicles and heavy loads wait 48 to 72 hours depending on the system and temperature; polyaspartic topcoats shorten this.

Polished concrete uses the slab itself as the finish and suits sound slabs where a low-maintenance, natural look is wanted. Epoxy adds a protective layer and suits floors exposed to chemicals, oil or a need for colour.

Yes. Much of our parkade, deck and foundation work is for strata councils and property managers. We can present findings to council and phase work so buildings stay in use.

Yes — a written workmanship warranty is provided with every project, alongside the manufacturer warranty on the materials used. Terms depend on the system and are set out in the quote.

Exterior coatings depend on weather windows and book further ahead in the wet season. Interior injection and flooring work is usually scheduled within a few weeks of the quote being approved.
